The 1818

January 18th, 2022

Welcome to the 1818.

Holy Trinity has been my home for 9 years. My parents were married at the church and my siblings and I were baptized there as well. So, during my last year here I have decided to give back to the school that has given me so much. I hope you enjoy reading these articles and learning more about our school, current events, and more!

Clare R (8th) 8(((

This month enjoy reading about Spelling Bee winners, the ecosystem, the climate crisis and your role in it, current events, the House System, and a debate about the House System.

Spotlight Corner

How much do we really know about the heroes hidden behind their mask? The Spotlight Corner interviews teachers and students, learning more about their roots, defining life experiences, and more!

This month, the Spotlight Corner interview our Spelling Bee Winner.

Current Events Corner

To be able to know what is currently going on in the world and how it affects our community and the Catholic Church is a skill, and you are able to do so through the articles that the Current Events Corner provides.

This month read about some of the strongest tornadoes in the Midwest and the destruction they have caused.

House Corner

Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple. House Romero, House Day, House Xavier, House Juana, House Arrupe, and House Becraft are the houses of our HTS Neighborhood! Stay up to date.

This month the Calendar Corner wrote about the monthly updates, a summary of House Xavier Day, and a word from House Becrafts House Head, Chase R, about the upcoming House Becraft Day!

Op-Ed Corner

Contrasting opinions help us to learn and grow as we look at everything from different perspectives. The Op-Ed Corner looks at different topics each month with two different opposing opinions.

This month, Olivia (7th) interviewed two 7th graders that looked at the Pro’s and Con’s of the House System.
